BThe template HOSPITAL.BILLS, is quite helpful in keeping track of I
Gdoctor/hospital bills, Medicare insurance and other insurance to cover
those expenses.
EThis particular template was set up after the death of my mother, as D
Bwe had a multitude of doctor and hospital bills and couldn't keep F
Dtrack of them, as to who sent what to Medicare and who sent what to H
Fthe supplemental insurance company and who paid who/what. It made it H
Fmuch easier to do this on AppleWorks, in the database, allowing me to D
Benter the doctor/hospital name, address, amount billed, if it was G
Ebilled directly to Medicare, how much Medicare paid, where the check E
Cwas sent, if they billed the supplemental insurance direct and how H
Fmuch each paid on the bill(s), etc. The ESTATE field is optional and C
Acan be renamed, but we had to use this to keep track of what the $
Estate account had to pay, if any.
BI used the LABELS format for printing out only the most important F
Dinformation...I didn't keep the fields of account numbers, etc., as G
EAppleWorks does have its limit in the number of fields it will allow F
Dyou to printout. I layed this out in the LABELS format for ease of G
Eview and use. I also used the OA-V (set standard values) command to D
Bmake sure that all the field names appeared along with the 'text' E
Cinformation, as I didn't want to get confused when all the various H
Fdollar amounts were printed. This option, OA-V is not mentioned very G
Eoften, but can be most useful. I did not use the OA-J (justify), as 8
this will 'squish' the information too close together.
DThe field COMMENT was used only to enter **COMPLETED**, to indicate E
Cthat that particular account had been paid in full and required no
further follow-up or action.
EIf you have suggestions on improving this template, please feel free A
?to send those suggestions to TAWUG, P.O. Box 37313, Denver, CO
80237-7313. We welcome them.
